WHY YOU NEED A DENTAL CHECKUP EVERY SIX MONTHS?

Have you scheduled an appointment with your dentist? NO? If not, you should and here are the reasons.

If you are determined to keep good health, then you must get your oral health too checked. As the mouth remains the first entity where any systemic deterioration signs show. If not properly checked in due time is taking huge risks with oral health that can lead to other health complications.

The checkup should include a careful examination of your tongue, throat, face, head, and neck. This is to look for any signs of trouble – swelling, redness, or possible signs of cancer.

RADIOGRAPH ASSESSMENT

A mandatory radiograph can give the dentist a total visualization of any potential problems that may situate with teeth or gums that is invisible to the naked eye. A minimal investigation shall get the dentist to the first phase of the treatment plan. X-rays help the dental professional to evaluate and assess the cavities in-depth and do the necessary treatment in time.

PLAQUE ACCUMULATION

Often patients say, “I do brush my teeth twice a day and yet, how does plaque gets accumulated so easily?”

There are areas that aren’t accessible for a brush to reach even if we brush meticulously thrice a day. So these inaccessible areas, plaque and tartar get accumulated and lead to gum diseases. These areas can be accessed by a dentist that can take care of your teeth and gum health.

Therefore, it is necessary for you to have your teeth examined twice a year for good oral health hygiene and maintenance. Based on your hygiene status, condition and oral care, your dental professional will help you to decide the interval in which you need your dental hygiene visits. If you haven’t visited a dentist in the long run, we advise you to visit us for a complete oral health assessment and teeth cleaning.
