Is root canal treatment a painful procedure?
Root canal treatment is done when the nerve of teeth is affected due to decay, trauma or fracture. It involves removing the damaged pulpal nerve, cleaning and shaping of root canal and then filling it with a biocompatible material. As this procedure is done under anesthesia, it is painless.
How often should one visit a dentist?
One should visit a dentist at least twice a year for checkups. If there is toothache, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, or any dental problem one is advised to visit the dentist immediately.
